Michael McKleroy focuses his practice on business and commercial litigation in the areas of mortgage lending, general business matters and creditor-debtor relations.
Client Work
Mike McKleroy represents the firm’s clients in commercial litigation in both state and federal courts. His emphasis is in representing financial institutions, banks, mortgage lenders, mortgage servicing companies and many other industries in commercial disputes. These include the air cargo charter business, automobile dealers, construction and roofing companies and property management companies. Mike has extensive experience in pre-trial matters, particularly in defining key issues, developing the case strategy and conducting cost-effective discovery. He has often obtained take nothing summary judgments or successful settlements of these disputes.
Mr. McKleroy has successfully obtained summary judgment for lenders and mortgage servicers on the following claims:
- wrongful foreclosure;
- fair debt collection; and
- consumer protection.
As a member of the firm’s trial team, he works to obtain take nothing judgments for clients on lender liability claims. Mike routinely resolves home equity litigation without trial and negotiates settlements for lenders and mortgage servicers.
